Guy Who Copied Digg Slams Digg For Copying Twitter

One of the founders of Reddit , a Digg-clone, openly criticized Digg founder Kevin Rose yesterday for his plans to implement “me-too” features into the new version of the service. We consider this to be absurd and rather impolite. Yesterday we discovered a video showing some of the features of the upcoming relaunch of Digg .

It’s no secret that mobile, hyperlocal advertising is poised to grow into a massive market in the next few years, spurred by the proliferation of GPS-equipped smartphones. Earlier this week we saw the launch of another competitor called BeThere Deals that’s hoping to crack the nut. The service offers a self-serve platform for local businesses, who can quickly deploy time sensitive deals that are limited in quantity.

BillShrink CEO Peter Pham Leaves To Become An EIR At Trinity Ventures

Peter Pham, CEO of BillShrink , has just Tweeted that he’s leaving the startup to become an entrepreneur-in-residence at VC firm Trinity Ventures. According to a blog post, Pham says he is “moving on to pursue new entrepreneurial opportunities as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Trinity Ventures, which led BillShrink’s Series B of $8 million.” BillShrink’s co-founder Schwark Satyavolu will assume the role of CEO (he was previously the CTO). Before starting BillShrink, Pham was the Vice President of Business Development at Photobucket.com, which was acquired by Fox Interactive Media in 2007.
